Josie Gibson has broken her silence after she was announced as Phillip Schofield’s replacement following him admitting to an affair with a younger man and quitting the show. Josie, 38, was announced to replace Phil as co-host of the daytime show alongside Holly Willoughby, who will be back on the programme on Monday 5 June after a short break.The news was announced at the end of Friday’s episode, as Alison Hammond said: “Holly will be back on Monday with Josie." This will not be Josie’s first time on the show as she has appeared as a guest on several occasions and even guest presented in the past.
Josie, who has appeared on Big Brother, broke her silence as she took to Instagram and shared a sweet video in the back of a carriage with her four-year-old son Reggie as she was pulled along by a horse.The star looked stylish as she donned oversized sunglasses and a green dress as she laughed with her adorable son.The announcement from Alison on Friday's show came after she broke down while attempting to discuss her former colleague Phil. She told viewers: "I'm just finding it really painful because obviously I loved Phillip Schofield.
"And it's weird because I still love Phillip Schofield. However what he's done is wrong, he's admitted it, he's said sorry.
"But as a [TV] family we're all really struggling to process everything and I never know what to say." She continued: "But I remember what my mum always said: 'Use your Bible as your Sat Nav in life, Al.'" and in the Bible it says 'he without sin, cast the first stone'.
