Louis Walsh has opened up about his secret health battle after he confessed to almost quitting Celebrity Big Brother multiple times. Appearing on Monday's instalment of This Morning, Louis, 71, sat down with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd to discuss his time in the iconic house after reality star David Potts was crowned winner while Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin followed in second place. While chatting with Cat and Ben, Louis admitted that he was unable to sleep while in the house, and lay awake at night until the morning hoping that one of his other housemates would wake up so that he could have some "human contact" again after being alone with his own thoughts for hours on end.
The former X Factor judge admitted that the experience was a lot tougher than he imagined, and he almost quit the show several times - but decided to stay and ended up making it to the final.
After coming in fourth place, the celebrity opened up about how hard the show was for him at times, explaining that it sometimes left him feeling 'alone' and considering walking, due to his anxiety. On Monday, he said: "There were some nights, there were a few nights where I was in a really bad place. Honestly, honestly, honestly.
One or two times, I wanted to leave. I wanted to climb over the wall. Luckily I stayed.
But there were a few times.", reports the Mirror. He also mentioned that sometimes at night, when he couldn't sleep and everyone else was, he felt very lonely. "I had anxiety on one or two nights.
I was on my own. I was awake. Everyone else was sleeping.
There were a few farting.
