Lorraine Kelly paid a heartfelt tribute to her beloved mum during Friday's instalment of her ITV show. It comes after Anne, 82, was rushed to hospital earlier this year with kidney problems.
The Scots star previously praised staff at Monklands Hospital in Airdrie live on air for all their help and support following her mum's "really bad" kidney problem, which saw her hospitalised at the renal unit over the summer.
But giving her fans an update she announced previously that mum Anne was now "out galavanting" and doing well following the health scare.
On Friday, as she turned 82, Lorraine gave a sweet tribute to her "amazing" mum live on the ITV breakfast show.
"Happy birthday mum I won't tell everyone you're 82, oh I just did," Lorraine joked as she burst into laughter. "sorry about that," before showing a photo of her mum on screen.
Giving an update she added: "No it's been great. she's been down here and we have had such a fantastic time with Auntie Josephine and my brothers being here as well and it's just been lovely to celebrate.
"She's been not very well at all and she's amazing - happy birthday mammy, I shall see you in a minute."
Anne was first rushed to hospital in August last year after being diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, a condition that stops the kidneys from functioning properly.
Lorraine has kept fans updated over the summer on her mum's health and shared a positive update on social media, revealing that Anne appeared to be in good spirits as she enjoyed a day out with dad John recently after a worrying few months.
