Denise Welch has been flooded with support as she marked a personal milestone. The Loose Women star marked 12 years since she became sober with a video on social media.
Denise has often been open and honest about her past struggles and previously admitted how her 'disastrous' relationship with alcohol affected her relationship with her husband Lincoln Townley and the lives of her sons Louis, 22, and Matty, 34, who she shares with her ex Tim Healy.
The former Coronation Street star, who has also faced a more than 30 year battle with depression after she was first diagnosed with clinical depression after the birth of her eldest son, The 1975 frontman Matty.

Speaking in a new video posted to Instagram, Denise said: "April 18th, 12 years ago, on this very day, I took my last drink of alcohol. I celebrate this every year because outside of my children, it is the proudest moment of my life. I did it alongside my husband, my bezzie, Lincoln Townley. He did it for me, I did it for him and it's not just us who benefit it is the ripple effect that sobriety helps."
She continued: "All the people who love us and the people we love, their lives were and are changed by our sobriety. I can't tell you the difference it's made in all of our lives and it is possible to do. I'm not the drink police, I'm not saying to people who enjoy a couple of glasses of wine or are getting a little tiddly on a Friday night... enjoy yourself..."
Denise then offered her own advice to those who think they may be struggling before captioning the post: "Happy sober
