Loose Women's Coleen Nolan gushed over her stunning daughter-in-law winning Miss Great Britain over the weekend. The TV personality appeared on this afternoon's episode of Loose Women wearing a tribute sash as she spoke about how proud she is of her son Shane's wife, Madeleine. She said: “I’m the most proud mother in law, because my daughter in law won Miss Great Britain.
“We were all there to support her and screaming. I’m surprised we weren’t asked to leave!” The show then played out a clip of her daughter-in-law Madeleine being crowned the winner as Coleen continued: “That was her when she was announced. "My son, at that moment, as soon as they said her name, he just fell back in his chair and sobbed his eyes out.” Madeleine is married to Shane Nolan, the son of Coleen Nolan and EastEnders actor Shane Ritchie.
The beauty queen, 33, made history after becoming the first woman of mixed-race heritage to win the title. It was also Madeleine's fifth time entering the competition. The brunette beauty thanked husband Shane for his support on her journey, saying on social media: "Firstly, my amazing husband @iamshanenolan, or in his own words, "the new Mr Great Britain." "Thank you for always supporting me and loving me in everything I do.
You've never once tried to deter me from going after my dreams, you're my biggest fan, and I love you so much!" Following her victory, Madeleine wants to use her title to undertake international charitable endeavours and pay homage to her heritage. She plans to take a trip to Jordan to help those living in a Palestinian refugee camp.
The camp holds a special place in her heart as it is the same one her grandparents lived in when they escaped the war in the 1960s. Larissa Palmer-Hirst, from
