Now Cheryl Fergison, who played Heather for half a decade - and whose comic timing helped bring light relief to the soap storylines - has revealed the perfect plot twist to see her return to Albert Square from beyond the grave.

Following his first foray into television with 2018’s “The Little Drummer Girl,” Korean filmmaker Park Chan-Wook returns to Western television this month with the espionage thriller series “The Sympathizer” on HBO (read our review). And the director is already quickly putting together another project for the small screen, a series adaptation of his 2003 revenge masterpiece “Oldboy.” Variety reports that Chan-Wook is partnering with Lionsgate Television on the adaptation of the English-language series based on his film of the same name.

The 55th edition of the Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight, the parallel section of the main Cannes Film Festival, has announced its 2024 line-up. Running from May 15 to 23, the Fortnight, or the Quinzaine Des Cinéastes, in French, will debut 21 feature films and ten short films.

Images of a masked Jackson being hounded by both fans and paparazzi are also shown.The trailer also shows Jaafar as Michael, capturing his striking features and his dancing and stage presence.

Aziz Ansari revealed that his “Good Fortune” co-star Keanu Reeves was hobbling on crutches in January because he tripped on a rug in his trailer.Ansari, 41, elaborated on Reeves’ fractured kneecap injury at CinemaCon 2024 in Las Vegas on Wednesday.“About, I don’t know, 15 days into shooting with me, I was like, ‘Hey, just go chill in your dressing room for 15 minutes.’ And he tripped on a rug,” said Ansari, who co-wrote and co-directed the movie with Reeves.“He’s like, ‘Aah, my knee.”Ansari said that Reeves, 59, didn’t let his injury get in the way of filming, however.“He still filmed everything except some scenes where we needed him to do salsa dancing, which we need to pick up.“He was like, ‘I’ll do it!’ We’re like, ‘Keanu, calm down. We’ll do the salsa dancing once your knee’s healed.'”Ansari said that Reeves did not “go to the hospital or anything” after injuring his kneecap.“He’s done those ‘Wick’ movies, all the ‘Matrix ‘ stuff.

Carolyn Giardina Chris Hemsworth, the voice of a young Optimus Prime, and Brian Tyree Henry, the voice of a young Megatron, got an enthusiastic welcome at CinemaCon as they introduced a first look and 3D scene from “Transformers One,” Paramount‘s animated origin story based on the Hasbro toys. “This origin story is how they transformed from brothers in arms to sworn enemies,” said Henry from Las Vegas on Thursday. In the clip, Optimus Prime, Megatron and their friends “proven worthy” are given their powers to transform — and awkwardly get accustomed to using those powers.

CinemaCon this morning got a first look at the extended trailer for and a 3D scene from Paramount’s animated Transformers One. The origins story is due for release on September 13. From Paramount Animation and Hasbro; in Association with New Republic Pictures, it’s directed by Josh Cooley. 

We knew this was coming as indicated in the coda of last summer’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, but the G.I. Joe team and Transformers are getting together. It was a storyline played out for the Hasbro brands in their 1980s Marvel published comics.

The sweeping footage starts as hysterical fans scream along to Jackson as he owns the stage, flashing between performances of hits like “Man in the Mirror, “Thriller” and Jackson 5’s classic rendition of “ABC” on “American Bandstand.” The movie, which will feature over 30 songs and recreate many of his iconic concerts, promises to be a sweeping look at the musician’s life, including the emotional toll that being a superstar took on the shy and private man behind the moonwalk.
