Lauren Goodger has turned over a new leaf this year with a shock return to The Only Way Is Essex, where she rose to fame back in 2010. Appearing on This Morning on Monday (1 April), the reality star was supported by co-star Amy as she opened up on a traumatic few years, detailing the devastating loss of her little girl Lorena in 2022.
Lauren, who is also a mother to daughter Larose, two, lost her baby girl just minutes after giving birth, with Lorena passing away as she was born with her umbilical cord knotted, restricting oxygen. As This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary questioned why Lauren has chosen now to come back to TV, the star admitted: "I went through a very traumatic time, sort of lost myself completely. I was sort of in the healing process, which I still am.
But I was just… all I could be was a mum, nothing else, I wasn't interested in work. "But now this is a new year, and I feel that I found who I am again, I completely lost myself." Lauren added that returning to the show feels like "coming home", while Amy chimed in: "It was amazing, it was like having Lauren home." Upcoming storylines on the show are said to show Lauren's more family-oriented life with daughter Larose. After welcoming the little one, Lauren then fell pregnant with her second child but tragically, she lost her daughter Lorena in July 2022 shortly after birth.
