Lauren Goodger has been targeted online for everything from her changing body shape, to 'faking' her baby bump when she was pregnant. As the 37-year-old mum prepares to make her huge comeback to TOWIE, she has a strong message for anyone planning on taking to their phones to have a go at her. "I'm not bothered by it, I really don't give a c**p what anyone says to me online," she told OK! during an exclusive chat.
"Yeah. I'm so thick skin to it and the majority of it is absolute bull***t. And if anyone says anything, it's not a reflection on me, it's actually a reflection on them.
Hurt people, hurt people." Lauren was part of TOWIE's original cast when the show launched in 2010 - and at the time, she says, they only had the odd Facebook comment to contend with. Now, however, especially with the popularity of Instagram and forums, it's a whole other ballgame. Lauren was targeted heavily during her pregnancy with her young daughter Larose, now two and a half, with people accusing her of faking her baby bump and even criticising her for gaining weight.
But defiantly, she says she's learned that the keyboard warriors' comments say more about them than they do about her. " I've had it the majority of my career," she said. "I'm so thick skinned now.
And also, more fool them." In summer 2022 Lauren experienced two terrible losses in her personal life. Her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean was killed in a car crash in Turkey and then under a week later, her much-wanted newborn daughter Lorena died just minutes after her birth. Even then, some people felt the need to troll her online.
