King Charles has made a sweet reference to his five beloved grandkids including Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet as he called for swift and effective action to take place at the COP28 summit in order to tackle the climate crisis.
Speaking at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai, the monarch said: "In 2050 our grandchildren won’t be asking what we said, they will be living with the consequences of what we did or didn’t do."
The King's three grandkids, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight and Prince Louis, five all live in the UK and are the children of Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton.
Meanwhile his estranged son Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also have two kids, Prince Archie, four and Princess Lilibet, two, who live with them in Montecito, California, the Express reports.
During his address in the UAE, His Majesty told the audience that the current environmental state of the world "worries me greatly", adding that we may need to prepare for a "darker and starker future".
Charles added: "I have spent a large proportion of my life trying to warn of the existential threats facing us over global warming, climate change and biodiversity loss.
"Some important progress has been made, but it worries me greatly that we remain so dreadfully far off track as the Global Stocktake report demonstrates so graphically."
