Kate Middleton has thanked the public for their support, after her January hospital visit for "planned abdominal surgery". The Princess of Wales, 42, chose Mother's Day to break her silence as she shared a new snap of herself alongside her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who she shares with husband, Prince William.
In the caption of the post, which was shared to the official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram account, Kate wrote: "Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. "Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day.

The Princess of Wales beamed whilst her three children all appeared to be laughing, no doubt at something their dad, Prince William had said as he was behind the camera taking the photograph.
Royal fans rushed to comment on the snap, with one writing: "Happy Mother's Day. What a stunning portrait." Another said: "Lovely shot.
Good health and happy days to you x" whilst a third wrote: "All best wishes, good health, best familytime." Kate has been recovering away from the public eye since her hospital admission in January. In a statement made by Buckingham Palace at the time, it was revealed that she is not going to be back to public duties until at
