With two children and three stepchildren, Kate Ferdinand has quite the brood - so it's no surprise she's run off her feet balancing work and family life. However, despite things being hectic at times, the 32-year-old has revealed her newest arrival, baby daughter Shae, has completed the family. After giving birth in July, the doting mum is getting into the swing of having a full house now.
And in an exclusive chat with OK!, she's shared why she and husband Rio aren't planning on having any more children. “I think five is more than enough,” she insists. “I’m just about managing, so I think we’re happy where we are.” Since tying the knot with former footballer Rio in 2019, the pair have also welcomed their three-year-old son Cree, and Kate is stepmum to Rio’s children Lorenz, 17, Tate, 15, and Tia, 12.
Sharing how the family dynamics are since Shae came along, she told us: “Tia is really helpful. We’re happy we’ve got another girl on side! The boys are out a lot because of football, so they’re not here all the time.
They help me out with Cree though, which is great, so I’m able to look after the baby.” And how has Cree taken to having a younger sister? “He’s doing well – he’s such a character,” Kate said. “Apparently, he’s just like me when I was little.
He’s hyper and he rules the roost. He’s like the king of the house! “He’s kind and caring. Don’t get me wrong, there have been moments where he’s been a bit… I don’t know if the word is jealous, but it’s all changed for him and he’s had to adjust.
