Judge Rinder is set to travel over 1000 miles to Poland, in an effort to help the Ukrainian family of his former Strictly Come Dancing partner, Oksana Platero. The TV star, who was on the show in 2016, revealed that Oksana's grandparents were struggling to find sanctuary in a safe country and has pledged to be at the Polish border on Monday to help them across, as the brutal war waged by Vladimir Putin continues to rage in the Ukraine. Oksana, who has also appeared in Dancing with the Stars, the US version of Strictly, has started a Go Fund Me to help her family. In an impassioned plea to fans she described their plight as 'terrifying'. "As you already know, many families are going through such hardship with the war in Ukraine," she wrote.
"My family and my cousin's, Kateryna Klishyna, family are escaping and close to the border. My mother, my 10 year old brother, and Kateryna’s sister, left their home the morning of March 2nd and arrived to safety March 6th."
