Judy Sheindlin’s two court shows at CBS Media Ventures continue to carry on years after the popular TV personality left the CBS fold. Repeats of Judge Judy as well as the Sheindlin-created Hot Bench have been renewed in 95% of the country through the 2025-26 season.
In addition to flagship groups CBS Stations and Fox Stations, Judge Judy was re-upped by stations owned by Sinclair, Nexstar, Scripps, Tegna, Gray, Hearst and Weigel. Hot Bench was renewed by CBS Stations in major markets, as well as stations owned by Sinclair, Nexstar, Tegna, Scripps, Fox Stations, Gray and Weigel.
Together, Judge Judy and Hot Bench, the #1 and #2 syndicated court shows, account for 67% of all minutes watched in the nationally syndicated court genre, CBS Media Ventures said.
That may change next season when Sheindlin’s new court show, Amazon Freevee’s Judy Justice, is launching in broadcast syndication. It was picked up by some of the station groups that also cary Judge Judy but CBS Stations and Fox Stations were conspicuously missing from the list of clearances for Judy Justice.
