Jason Manford to host 'addictive' new BBC quiz show

Well, it didn’t take long for the new “Ghostbusters” to team up with the classic “Ghostbusters,” right? After “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” writer/director Jason Reitman handed off the franchise and seemingly went back to the world of humanistic comedies. But he didn’t leave it in the lurch and remains a co-writer, producer, and executive producer on the project.

Jason Manford is joining the cast of Waterloo Road, taking on a leading role as he returns to acting.The comedian is best known for presenting Children in Need, Show Me the Funny and The One Show - but will be showing off his acting chops in the BBC One drama. Jason, 42, is making his debut on the school drama as Steve Savage - Waterloo Road's new headteacher who isn't afraid to ruffle a few feathers.The show is yet to reveal what will happen to the school's current headteacher Kim Campbell, played by Angela Griffin.

A BBC Antiques Roadshow guest was given a nasty shock after their item was valued at hundreds of thousands less than what they were hoping for.

Antiques Roadshow expert Mark Smith became rather emotional as he was asked to value a unique item during the show's visit to Newby Hall in Yorkshire. During the show, Mark was asked to value a gold medallion, but was unable to do due to its rather distressing origin. After taking a look at the medallion, which originated from 1955, Mark shared that it had been awarded to people who had lived through the Holocaust and escaped the concentration camps.

A recent Antiques Roadshow guest had their hopes dashed after discovering their item was worth just £150, and not the £250,000 they had expected. Antiques expert Ronnie Archer-Morgan took a look at the figure, from the Kota tribe in Gabon, when the show stopped in Nottingham's Wollaton Hall.The owner revealed that they had purchased the item for just £1.50, 10 years ago at an Antiques Roadshow event in Cambridge.

Antiques Roadshow star Theo Burrell has shared an update on her condition, after previously announcing she'd been diagnosed with an incurable brain cancer. The 36 year old antiques expert was previously told she only had months left to live back in 2022, but she continues to battle the disease every day. Theo, who celebrated 11 years with her partner last month, posted a snap of her beloved pooch, a Jack Russell called Pip, as she gave her followers an update on her health.
