Janey Godley has shared a candid update about her health as she continues her battle with cancer. The Scottish comedian has vowed to stay positive in a poignant chat with fans on social media.
Sharing a video clip of herself enjoying the great outdoors, the 62-year-old comic captioned it: "Life with cancer isn’t for counting the last days down, it’s for living the days I have left," as she spoke openly with her loyal fleet of 290k followers.
"This makes me forget that I have got a limited time," Janey said as she soaked up the surroundings in Port Appin, near Oban, with the beautiful landscape of nearby Lismore Island in the background.
"Every time I get a cancer treatment, you know it's a life-limiting disease. It is life-limiting for me," she explained. "But it doesn't limit the life I get to live when I've got it."
She added: "Being able to get away and take in nature and enjoy the beauty makes me realise I can't live every day like it's my last - that's too much pressure for everybody, but I can live good days.
"I can enjoy really good days and I've got so much to do.
"I've got the radio four show that I'm writing, my new book is finally coming out soon, a documentary being made and the tour in January and I'm no deed yet."
"I've got to just keep living as much as I can, and I do that and you all support me so thank you," she concluded as she blew a kiss at the camera.

Janey was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer in November 2021 before being given the all-clear after treatment, but it returned this year. She has since kept her fans updated on her progress.
