Janey Godley has been praised for her bravery as she visited her childhood home in Glasgow with a camera crew, where her mum's 'murderer' lived.
The Scottish comic, who is facing a terminal cancer battle, shared a haunting snap of herself pictured standing on the quiet street.
Janey, 62, opened up to her 289k Twitter followers about how "difficult and tough" the walk down memory lane was, 40 years on from the death of her beloved mum, Annie.
Annie's body was found in the River Clyde during the 1980s and Janey has always claimed her mother's violent partner, Peter Greenshields, was to blame for her death.
Janey updated fans on Twitter on Monday, saying: "Today was difficult. I went back to my childhood home with a camera crew, back to the street where the man who killed my mum lived.
"Same time I got news my cancer marker number is low - memories were tough. Also facing terminal cancer and explaining this to people who meet me."
The star also visited the pub she used to run before finding fame as a comedian, and spoke of the memories it brought back of daughter Ashley's childhood.
She added: "Then we went down to my old pub in the Calton. Up our old close and the memories flooding in of Ashley being a wee girl hanging off the Victorian newel post on the staircase.
"It’s still there - with the Wally tiles on the walls."
Fans flooded to praise Janey for her "brave and inspiring" move, with many speculating a new TV show could be looming.
