Jamie Oliver's 'delicious' spicy parsnip soup recipe is healthy and 'comforting'

With the UK set for an Arctic blast of snow and ice this week, now is the time to cook the star chef's spicy parsnip soup. Rather than reach for comforting junk food, the dish can help ward off hunger pangs while sticking to healthy goals.
Sharing the recipe on his website, Jamie's soup is full of tasty veg, pulses and other wholesome ingredients that will feel like a tasty hug on a cold winter's day. He finishes the whole thing off with some homemade parsnip crisps and a drizzle of some tasty stuff.
He says: "There's something wonderfully comforting about a nice bowl of soup. I've served this one with some quick, funky parsnip crisps, garam masala and a swirl of yoghurt and chilli oil. Delicious."
