Love Island star Jack Fincham has been given a 36-month driving ban after crashing his car while under the influence of cocaine.
The 31 year old TV personality, who won the ITV2 show in 2018 with ex-girlfriend Dani Dyer, was seen driving on the wrong side of the road before hitting a traffic island in Bexley, Kent. A woman spotted him and called the police due to his erratic driving. When the police approached him, he confessed to taking cocaine two nights before.
He was then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. In custody, tests showed he was over the limit for cocaine and benzoylecgonine, a by-product of cocaine. Jack was charged with two counts of drug driving and admitted to both offences at a Magistrates court in Medway on Wednesday, 25 October.
The reality star was given a 36-month driving ban and ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid community work within 12 months, supervised by a responsible officer.
The court heard that he had 18 microgrammes of cocaine per litre of blood in his system and 800 microgrammes of benzoylecgonine, way over the legal limits of 10 and 50. His lawyer, Roger Haw, explained that Fincham was trying to turn on his sat nav when the incident occurred late at night with no other cars around. As reported by Kent Online, Mr Haw said: "He admitted he was driving and accepts he took cocaine at least a day before.
He was honest. He is an actor who had a difficult time in 2021 during the pandemic as work dried up and he now has anxiety and depression. "He has now taken up boxing and it's been a success.
He has a fight coming up soon. He lives with his parents and is being supported by them." Fincham had previously been banned for drink-driving within the last 10 years. As
