ITV Lorraine viewers say 'what is the point' over pre-recorded episode

ITV Lorraine viewers were left fuming after the latest instalment of the show and said “What is the point?” after a pre-recorded episode of the chat show aired.
The latest episode of the show saw Lorraine look back at some of her guests throughout the year, including her interviews with Graham Norton Brian Cox, Hannah Waddingham, and Matt Willis. It didn’t take long for fans to express their disappointment and disapproval for the episode online, as one took to X, formally known as Twitter, and said: “Lorraine is presenting her own show today, this can only mean one thing:…… it’s pre-recorded. #Lorraine”.
Another added: “Oh my goodness. Lorraine is hosting... pre-recorded? #Lorraine”, while a third said: “What is the point in showing pre-recorded episodes over xmas? Just take the show off the air”.
Another disapproving viewer added: “Does Lorraine really have to be on if it's pre-recorded? Replace it with films or something”. As the show was nearing its end on Wednesday morning, Lorraine was seen handing over to TV presenters Emma Willis and Rylan Clark who were hosting This Morning. Usually, Lorraine would have a candid chat with the This Morning presenters as she hands over the ITV reigns, however today’s episode cut straight to Rylan and Emma without Lorraine directly interacting with the pair.
This wasn’t the only pre-recorded TV to be shown on ITV as Holly Willoughby made a surprise return to This Morning as a pre-recorded interview was aired. As hosts Emma Willis and Rylan Clark looked back through the year, a clip was shown of Holly and co-host Craig Doyle interviewing Frozen star Idina Menzel which was shown for a second time this year to mark the 10th anniversary of the popular film.
