Will Best and AJ Odudu are back on hosting duty as Celebrity Big Brother lands on ITV1 this month, as a new batch of famous faces make themselves at home in the iconic reality TV house. While the presenting duo can't wait to front the show once again, Will has admitted that he's preparing himself for one particular aspect of the job after "the most intense experience" of his life on the show last year. Will, 39, revealed that he's bracing himself for the "screaming" crowds on Celebrity Big Brother's eviction nights after struggling to hear through his earpiece when announcing the vote results.
"Eviction shows are one of the most intense experiences of my life,” he said. "You’ve got hundreds and hundreds of people screaming – it’s like a concert. For one of the shows, the gap before we said the name [of the housemate leaving] was 20 seconds longer than it needed to be because the producers had to keep saying the name.
"We couldn’t hear, it was so loud and you don’t want to say the wrong name!," he said. His co-host AJ added, "They're outside for hours and hours and hours and hours.
They don't even get to watch the interview inside.
There's a different audience inside. But they're super, super, super, super fans.
"The suspense is incredibly when we're evicting housemates. People think that's all us and that we're just drawing it out, but we actually can't hear [the result through our earpieces]!" We won't know the famous faces making their Celebrity Big Brother debuts until the show's launch night. However, the likes of former England rugby star James Haskell, X Factor judge Louis Walsh, Hollyoaks ’ Chelsee Healey and Harry Potter actress Miriam Margolyes are rumoured to be taking part.
