Adam B. Vary Senior Entertainment Writer SPOILER ALERT: This story discusses major plot developments and the post-credits scenes in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” currently playing in theaters. By this point, it’s no secret that Marvel Studios has lost some of its luster in its post-“Avengers: Endgame” era. Between the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s rapid expansion on Disney+ and the exits of stars like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and the late Chadwick Boseman, the Marvel saga has often felt at once too much and not enough: Sprawl without a center. It’s a problem that “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is particularly ill-equipped to address. For one, the film is wholly disconnected from everything else that’s happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe post-“Endgame” — there’s not a whisper of Kang or the multiverse or incursions or Talokan or, hilariously, Thor, even though the Guardians made a special appearance in “Thor: Love and Thunder” last summer. For another, the Guardians themselves — at least, as audiences have grown to know and love them — are also leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe, between stars Zoe Saldaña and Dave Bautista making clear they’re finished with their respective roles, and writer-director James Gunn departing Marvel to co-run DC Studios with Peter Safran.

When asked about the moment at the premiere in New York City, Pratt seemed to choose his words carefully. «Well, this is the last time these Guardians of the Galaxy will be on screen together,» he explained.

So often thought of primarily as the big lug who was so dramatically dispatched by Muhammad Ali in the famous “Rumble in the Jungle” in Zaire in 1974, George Foreman is the main event in Big George Foreman. While there is plenty of boxing here to satisfy sports fans, the film is mild-mannered and genial to a fault as it charts the life of a dirt-poor Texas kid with a devastating punch whose public image transformed over the years from hulking bogeyman to that of a good-natured businessman and man of God.
Owen Gleiberman Chief Film Critic Biopics about star athletes or artists tend to have the same broad shape: the rise to achievement and fame, the fall from triumph (often fueled by some combination of addiction and ego), the restoration to a harder-won glory. A great biopic, like “Get On Up” or “I, Tonya,” will tease a profound portrait of the subject out of that form; a middling one will oversimplify the subject just to hit the right beats. But then there’s a film like “Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World.” That’s not a movie title — it’s the title of a parable. And it’s well chosen, since “Big George Foreman” is about a life that feels so outlandishly ready-made for the ups and downs, the lessons and inspirations, of the superstar biopic genre that you don’t even have to mess with it. The real George Foreman has, in effect, already scripted it for you.

George Foreman for the legendary boxer's biopic. Davis transformed his body to the point where he saw stars, thanks to an exhaustive dietary plan that called for him to go from eating 5,000 calories a day to a whopping 7,000, and gaining 57 pounds in a matter of weeks. The budding actor spoke to ET's Kevin Frazier from the Beverly Wilshire Hotel gym in Los Angeles ahead of Foreman's biopic,, hitting theaters April 28, and he recalled the intense chow-down sessions he put himself through to reach peak Foreman level.Initially, Davis lost weight and grew his hair to replicate Foreman's lean build and Afro hairdo in his younger boxing days, but production stopped to give Davis the time he needed to bulk up and become a spitting image of Foreman in his latter years.«We took the six weeks off so we could gain the weight,» Davis said. «I was 225 and then I gained 50 pounds in five weeks, so I went from 225 to 276 in five weeks and I got to 282 total.»No, a free pass to gain all that weight didn't prove to be the happiest days of his life.
