Married at First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis celebrated the nearing birth of her first child with a lavish baby shower.The 34 year old chose a blue dress for the occasion after recently sharing that she is expecting a boy, with fiancé Michael Brunelli and described the occasion as the "best day".The influencer used her business connections to get the event sponsored by Target, who ensured the day was extra special by transforming a Melbourne mansion for the Peter Rabbit themed bash.The venue was decked out with giant plastic flowers, a sweet cart, soft toys, a nappy tower and an outdoor pop-up nursery filled with a washing line, wicker hampers and even a cot. While there were lots of little touches dotted around including wild flowers, carrots and of course rabbits! Guests could also tuck into a decadent baby blue cake which had the words 'Baby Brunelli' iced onto the top.
Although it was a celebratory occasion and the baby blue tones were fully embraced, Martha admitted that she initially struggled to come to terms with the news that she was expecting a little boy. While appearing on KIIS FM's Will & Woody Martha said: "There was no chance in my mind it was going to be a boy, I had planned my whole life for this girl.
"I'll be so honest with you guys. At the beginning, I was devastated like I was so upset.
It took me a few days to like come to terms with it." Following the baby shower, Martha, who is currently living at her parents' house with Michael, caught up with her 670k followers on Instagram in an impromptu Q&A.
