Leigh Francis, better known as Keith Lemon from Celebrity Juice, has been happily married to his childhood sweetheart Jill Carter for over 20 years.
The couple, who tied the knot in North Yorkshire in 2002, have two daughters together, Matilda and Dolly. Unlike her famous husband, beauty therapist Jill prefers to keep a low profile, but they do occasionally step out together at events. In a 2016 interview with The Sun, Leigh revealed that Jill prefers it when he's not in character as Keith so they can enjoy being a 'normal' couple.
He said: "I promised her Keith wouldn't be there so we could just have a bit of time on our own being normal. You can tell it's me instead of Keith because I've got my hair tied back into a tiny bun." Leigh was 19 and Jill was 16 when they first met and said there was "nothing wrong with them dating" as Jill was "old enough". Speaking to MailOnline, Leigh gushed about his partner and admitted that people often tell him he's "punching".
"Everyone thinks that we wake up and the comedy starts but it's not like that. She sees the real me, the grumpy me," he said. "She holds it together for in the family, Jill is an amazing woman." Leigh added that Jill does "everything" and is "a brilliant mum", reports the Mirror.
Leigh often shares his love for his wife on social media, posting sweet messages on special occasions. For their anniversary in 2022, he posted: "Happy anniversary to my most favourite and best! 30 years together 19 married! How time flies when ya madly in love!" In another post, Leigh said that he's loved Jill "ever since we were kids". The couple enjoys a private life in North Yorkshire with their children, whose details they keep out of the spotlight.
