She burst onto our screens at the beginning of this year as the daughter of Dean Wicks and Shabnam Masood. Elizabeth Green was cast in the role of Jade Masood, originally portrayed by Amaya Edward between 2015 and 2016. Jade has instantly become a poignant character on the show, raising awareness of the condition cystic fibrosis, which she suffers from.
Viewers have watched as her dad Dean initially grew more protective of his daughter in recent weeks following her life-saving lung transplant. But lately, his behaviour has become more controlling and evil, as he began tampering with her vital medications and oxygen supply to stop her from going to live with her mum. Talented actress Elizabeth Green graduated in 2022 after attending the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and Rose Bruford College.
The performer is of mixed-race Indian and Irish heritage. She grew up in Norfolk before moving to London to study at drama school. Elizabeth got her first big break appearing in an episode of Doctors in November 2022.
The up-and-coming star played Laura Harrison, the partner of a soldier on medical leave from the army.
At the time, she wrote on Twitter: “I made my TV debut yesterday on @BBCDoctors, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this experience. "It’s been one hell of a journey to get here, and I can’t wait for whatever comes next. I think baby Lizzie would be very proud.” The actress was then gutted to find out the news that the BBC daytime soap was to be axed after 23 years on air.
