Actor Helen Kay is currently starring on Coronation Street as Lesley Milner. Lesley, a private investigator, has hired by Stu Carpenter, played by actor Bill Fellows, to dig up dirt on Dom Eckersall, played by Nick Figgis. However, Corrie viewers may recognise Helen, who has previously starred on the soap twice before.
She previously played Weatherfield Gazette reporter Jo Simpson, who in episodes aired in April 2001 was investigating a mix-up in women's smear testing. Before that, Helen appeared as a doctor at Weatherfield General who tended to Carla Connor after she was found unconscious by Brian Packham and transported to hospital by Roy Cropper in January 2018; and misdiagnosed Jack Webster when he was suffering with sepsis in July of the same year. Helen trained at the Guildford School of Acting and her other on-screen credits include roles in Cold Feet, Real Men, Emmerdale, Heartbeat, Doctors, The Royal Today, Lunch Monkeys, Shameless, The Syndicate and Prey.
