Since rising to fame back in 2002, Alison Hammond has won the hearts of viewers at home. Following her time in the iconic Big Brother house, the TV personality has gone on to present a whole host of popular shows including This Morning and The Great British Bake Off. Speaking to Gyles Brandreth on his Rosebud podcast, Alison talked about how they had gotten engaged but never married as she spoke fondly about her ex, the Mirror reports.
“We never actually got married. It was the perfect time but I don't feel like we were ready. He had the most beautiful smile and that's what I fell in love with,” she explained.
“Aidan's got that smile as well.” Meanwhile, Alison sparked romance rumours when she was linked to a gardener called Ben and in 2023 the pair had reportedly “proposed to one another”. However, speaking on This Morning in February 2023, Alison said that she was not engaged after co-star Dermot opened the show to the sounds of wedding bells. “Cut the music! I'm not engaged, I'm so sorry I'm not engaged!,” she exclaimed.
