When it comes to forking out for sportswear and trainers, everyone knows the branded stuff is far from cheap.
But the likes of adidas and Nike will probably never fall out of favour with fans, most of whom are willing to pay that bit extra for a trusted brand that's always in fashion.
Thankfully there are some stores where you can pick things up much cheaper than the high street and online - one of them being Stockport's adidas outlet store.

I knew from looking online that they're certainly not cheap - and he'd saved some of his own money in the hope of bagging some for the new season.

I'd usually spend around £35 on a pair of trainers for me. Here I found a pair I liked for £26, which worked out at £23.40 with the discount.
On the adidas website, the same ZX 22 Boost pair is £61.75, so that's a saving of £38.35 or 62%.
