Two popular ITV celebrity competition shows are joining forces to host a one-off special. For one night only, A-listers will take part in an I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! themed version of the Masked Singer.
The show will see contestants disguised in elaborate jungle costumes, named huntsman, wombat, dunny, and bearded dragon. Celebrities will sing their hearts out on the show, in front of a celebrity panel who will be tasked with unmasking their true identity.
The panel includes The Masked Singer regulars Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan, as Joel Dommett hosts.
Joel, 38, also took part in I’m A Celebrity in 2016 before presenting the spin-off show featuring extra footage from the show While the singers may not be facing a Bushtucker Trial, they will compete on an I’m a Celeb themed set, as viewers at home attempt to guess who is hiding behind the mask.
The one-off programme, called The Masked Singer: I’m A Celebrity Special, will air just before the first episode of the 2023 series begins on ITV. The new season of I’m A Celeb is set to launch on Sunday, 19 November.
As the celebs head to Australian jungle, as usual they will be joined presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. Professional Boxer Tony Bellew is among the big names rumoured to be heading into the jungle, joining the likes of Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard, This Morning's Josie Gibson, TV chef Fred Sirieix, and retired Jockey Frankie Detorri.
