Jamie Lynn Spears has left ITV's I'm A Celebrity... on medical grounds after the actress was struggling with missing home. The American star is the second campmate to sensationally leave the jungle after food critic Grace Dent's exit last week.
A show spokesperson said: "Jamie Lynn Spears has left I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities."
Throughout her life, the Mirror reports Jamie Lynn - who is the younger sister of pop icon Britney Spears - has struggled with crippling mental health issues.
The singer has battled depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and at her lowest point, would only leave the house to take her eldest child to school. In her candid memoir, titled 'Things I Should Have Said', the 32-year-old opened up about her unstable childhood home and parents' divorce.
Jamie Lynn opened up on her dad's addiction issues and bad temper, which she claimed created 'anxiety and unpredictability' within their family. Away from her home life, she focused on acting and pursued a career, taking the lead role as Zoey in the Nickelodeon show 'Zoey 101'.
However, her stint on the show was cut short when she fell pregnant at the age of 16 and decided she'd leave Hollywood to embark on a life in Mississippi to raise her daughter, Maddie.
Becoming a mother forced Jamie Lynn to soon grow up and she split from her baby's father and childhood sweetheart, Casey Aldridge - who she's claimed was unfaithful and also struggled with substance abuse.
During her time in the Australian jungle, she tearfully opened up about her decision to 'keep the baby' in a conversation with campmate Fred Sirieix.
