Helen Flanagan and Dean Gaffney are the latest stars to be sent home from I'm A Celebrity... South Africa. The duo were plunged straight into an intense Bushtucker Trial during the latest episode of the South African edition of the show, and tried with all their might to get a seat on the safe bench. During the challenge, the campmates taking part were all locked inside wooden boxes with glass screens. The rest of the group then watched as the stars attempted to fish for their keys amongst critters and other contents.
But as the other campmates managed to find their keys to get free, Dean, 45, and Helen, 32, struggled to do it in time. As Ant and Dec called time on the trial, Helen teared up as she realised she was going home. While the pair were undoubtedly disappointed to be leaving the show just days before the final, they were all smiles as they hugged and said goodbye to their campmates.
"What a shame," Declan Donnelly said to the pair, as he admitted he wasn't sure what they going to get with Helen this time around. "Honestly I have had the best time I've had the time of my life, I've loved it so much. "I knew I was going to lose when I saw the keys," Helen then joked, because she'd once spent 45 minutes trying to get into her house after accidentally locking herself out.
"Dean, your pride had a clean sweep at the trials and the challenges. Was that down to your leadership?" Ant McPartlin asked the former EastEnders star. "That was 100 per cent down to my leadership," the actor teased, as the rest of the group cheered for their campmate.
