A huge fire has ripped through a residential property in Falkirk.
Six appliances are at the scene in Mary Street, Lauriston, after the alarm was raised at 8pm on Saturday night.
Hero firefighters remain at the scene working to get the inferno under control. It is understood there are no known casualties.
The surrounding roads including Boyd Street, and Abbotsford Drive have been closed by police who ask the public to avoid the area.
The fire can be seen from Grangemouth over a mile away according to local residents.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services are in attendance on Mary Street, Laurieston, Falkirk following a report of a fire at a property around 8pm on Saturday, 9 March, 2024.
"Mary Street is closed between Boyd Street and Abbotsford Drive and people are being asked to avoid the area."
An SFRS spokesperson confirmed they received reports of a fire at a residential property at 7.05pm on Saturday, March 9. Six appliances are currently at the scene, and there are no known causalities.
The six crews remain in attendance.
