The former This Morning host, 42, found herself in the middle of controversy after her former co-host Phillip Scofield admitted to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a much younger male colleague. Questions were then raised as to just how much others at ITV knew about the affair, with eyes quickly turning to Holly, who had been known to be close friends with Phillip outside of work.
Holly and Phillip's friendship is thought to have come to an end just weeks before he resigned from the daytime show, after his brother was convicted on child sexual abuse charges. When Phillip admitted to his affair, both he and Holly revealed that she had questioned him on the rumours but that he had lied to her, with Holly only discovering the truth when the general public did.
A source has now told Closer that Holly could pen a tell-all book, in which she hopes to prove her innocence.
The insider told the publication: "She knows the This Morning and Phillip Schofield scandal is not going to go away. She's been inundated with offers to tell her side of the story now she's back in the public eye." They continued: "Bosses will need to offer her a lot of money to get her to talk properly.
There could be a book deal and interviews so she could earn somewhere in the region of £1m for doing it all.
"She wouldn't necessarily criticise people, including Phil, but she would prove her innocence." OK! has approached representatives for Holly for comment.
