Here’s everything coming to US Netflix this December

Andrew Haigh’s drama All of Us Strangers has landed nine London Critics’ Circle Awards nominations, ahead of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which has scored seven.

Peaky Blinders spin-offs are in development at Netflix, according to reports.As reported by Bloomberg, the company is planning two spin-offs based on the British gangster series, which came to an end in 2022 after six seasons.One of these shows is said to be “set in Boston during the middle of the 20th century”, a couple of decades after Peaky Blinders. The other, meanwhile, is believed to be centred around Shelby family matriarch Polly, who was originally played by the late Helen McCrory.The only confirmed continuation of Peaky Blinders on-screen is an upcoming sequel movie, written by the show’s original creator Steven Knight.Speaking to Radio Times recently, Knight said filming on the movie should commence in the middle of 2024.“I’m just working on the final bits of it at the moment,” Knight said.

The full list of nominations for the 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards has been announced!

The Gotham Awards, the New York wing of the indie film world, has already handed out its year-end honors and now it’s time for the West Coast to have their say. Bright and early this morning, Film Independent revealed the 2024 Independent Spirit Awards nominees, and, no surprise, Celine Song’s “Past Lives” was at the top of the list with five nominations.

In what is an annual tradition, A24 led all nominations at this morning’s 39th Film Independent Spirit Awards Nominations with 11 nods while their movie Past Lives, along with Netflix’s May December and Amazon MGM’s American Fiction all tied for the most nominations with five apiece.

Ethan Shanfeld In Todd Haynes’ Netflix drama “May December,” the subject of a decades-old tabloid sex scandal is visited by a famous actress set to portray her in a film. Julianne Moore plays Gracie Atherton-Yoo, who was 36 years old when she was caught having sex with Joe, a 13-year-old boy who worked with her at a pet store. After having his first child from behind bars, Gracie began her life with Joe (Charles Melton), who is now the same age Gracie was when they first met.

The final season of Netflix‘s “The Crown” comes to a close in two weeks when the final six episodes premiere on the streamer on December 14. Bad news for fans of the series, but maybe the right call in the long run.
