Tributes have been paid to Liam Griffiths after he tragically passed away. Family and friends have paid their respects to the 31-year-old, saying he was always smiling and thinking of others, even in his last days.
Liam bravely spoke out about his peritoneal cancer, revealing the rare condition was terminal. His family had been keeping a bedside vigil in a hospice for the last two weeks.
His health declined rapidly, meaning he was unable to tick off a bucket list entry of driving in the far north of mainland Scotland with his dad, Peter, who is in his sixties.
His heartbroken mum, Susan Huskinson, 56, said: "My baby took his last breath yesterday afternoon, I am devastated. I just can't see my life without him, he was my world.
"I think it's hard as he still lived with me, he never flew the nest so was always my baby. Everyone has been absolutely amazing. The messages we as a family have received by people have showed us what a much-loved lad he was.
"I was lucky I got to see and be with him every single day of his life and I could not be any prouder of my baby." Devastated friends have been paying tribute to Liam, from Ingleby Barwick, North Yorskhire, online, Teeside Live reports.
One said: "If you have met Liam, you will know what I mean but you can't help but love him. He actually was a proper character with a good heart. No longer in pain and you have broken so many hearts, mine included."
