HBO & Max Cancel 2 TV Shows in 2024, Renew 1 More, & Announce 3 Are Ending This Year

Comedy legend Bobby Davro has cancelled all public appearances for the foreseeable, after being taken ill during a live show in Surrey. Bobby, 65, has been dealing with grief for the best part of the past year, after his beloved fiancée Vicky Wright tragically passed away in May 2023, aged 63, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He returned to work the day after Vicky died, but after falling ill during his most recent live performance, he's stepped back from all public engagements.

ABC announced Thursday that the upcoming seventh season of The Good Doctor will be its last. The medical drama starring Freddie Highmore will be one of several popular, long-running scripted series that will be ending this year, along with ABC’s Station 19, CBS’ Young Sheldon, Blue Bloods and S.W.A.T. as well as the CBS/Paramount+ SEAL Team. All but one, stalwart Blue Bloods, debuted during the 2017-2018 broadcast season and will end their runs after seven seasons.

We’re only halfway through January 2024 and so far, three TV shows have already been canceled by various streamers.
