It’s already 2024, and we’re taking a look back at the biggest renewal and cancellation decisions made by CBS over the past 12 months.
In 2023, the fan favorite network unfortunately announced that 2 shows were officially canceled. There are also four huge hit shows that will be ending this year.

The Eagles have announced the addition of two new final UK shows to their ‘The Long Goodbye’ Manchester farewell residency.The rock legends will be performing as part of a residency at Manchester’s Co-op Live in May and June alongside special guest Steely Dan.Today (January 25), they announced that two extra dates have been added to the 4-night run due to high demand. Taking to their official X/Twitter account, the venue shared: “Eagles will be bringing ‘The Long Goodbye’ tour to Co-op Live for a residency this year with special guest Steely Dan.

A new report is sharing some insight into why fan-favorite shows are ending after seven seasons.
ABC announced Thursday that the upcoming seventh season of The Good Doctor will be its last. The medical drama starring Freddie Highmore will be one of several popular, long-running scripted series that will be ending this year, along with ABC’s Station 19, CBS’ Young Sheldon, Blue Bloods and S.W.A.T. as well as the CBS/Paramount+ SEAL Team. All but one, stalwart Blue Bloods, debuted during the 2017-2018 broadcast season and will end their runs after seven seasons.

HBO and Max have announced their first cancellation of 2024.
Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq will present their BBC 6 Music Shows from a different grassroots venue every day of Independent Venue Week.Lamacq was joined by Stephens on the first instalment of his new weekly Teatime Session, which airs on Mondays from 4-7pm, to announce the initiative in celebration of the UK’s weeklong event to recognise the importance of independent music venues.Between January 29 and February 2, the presenters will be hitting the road to broadcast their shows from grassroots venues across the country and will also host performances from different artists each day.Lamacq will host from Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast on January 29 ahead of an Independent Venue Week performance from Ash.Stephens will be presenting his show from Edinburgh’s Whistle Binkies on January 30, where 86TVs will perform later that night; The Fulford Arms in York on January 31 ahead of a gig from NewDad; Polar Bear Music Club in Hull on February 1 where English Teacher will be playing; The Rockin’ Chair in Wrexham (Friday 2nd February) before a live set from Antony Szmierek.Those artists will join Lamacq and Stephens for intimate live performances and interviews across the week.Listeners can attend two exclusive intimate live performances with Ash in Belfast on January 29 and Antony Szmierek in Wrexham on February 2. You can apply to attend via a free ballot here, which will be open till January 15.
