With the announcement of the new song, Drake used an image of Halle getting slimed with green ooze at a previous Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards show – however, it was without permission.
Halle first shared a new post to her own Instagram, writing that “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy … even if you’re a woman!”
Following her post, she answered a fan who replied on the post, asking what she thought of Drake using the photo of her.
“Didn’t get my permission,” she answered. “That’s not cool I thought better of him!”
Later on, Halle stated that was the reason for her post in the first place: “Hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you you have to be the bigger person and move on !”
Drake is scheduled to release his new album, For All The Dogs, on September 22.
