Her efforts will show up in a three-minute vignette that appears during certain Lifetime movies; a 17-minute film made available via a bespoke digital site; and in “snackable” lengths via social and other venues. Melissa Joan Hart, who was, like Frye, a popular child actor and is a regular in Lifetime’s movies, will also appear in the vignettes, which will appear on digital outlets first and then on the cable network starting June 25.

A New York judge has denied a motion to dismiss a copyright suit against the producers of a successor program to the once-popular series “Live PD,” ruling that A+E Networks, the show’s original distributor, may continue in its quest to seek claims of copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and unfair competition against the Reelz cable network’s show, “On Patrol: Live.” “A wise man once observed, ‘If you can’t imitate him, don’t copy him,”” wrote Katharine Polk Failla, a judge hearing the case in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York. “The fine line between permissible imitation and wholesale duplication is at the heart of this lawsuit.”

Agreements that include reductions in these rates, also known as CPMs and a measure of the cost of reaching 1,000 viewers, have generally been extremely rare, and offer a signal that the continued migration of viewers to streaming and digital-video options is eroding the marketplace leverage of both traditional TV companies and some of their new-tech rivals as well.

Doctor Who star Bonnie Langford is returning to the show for its upcoming 14th series, over three decades after she originally boarded the TARDIS. The actress, 58, is reprising her role as Melanie Bush for the new series alongside incoming Doctor Ncuti Gatwa, with her return set to hit screens in 2024. Bonnie made her debut on Who back in 1986 as Melanie alongside the Sixth Doctor Colin Baker, and went onto be the companion for the Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy.

Charna Flam In recent months, Danny Bonaduce, former “The Partridge Family” star and “The Danny Bonaduce Show” radio host, has revealed to his fans that he will be undergoing brain surgery after being on a difficult health journey. In a recent interview with TMZ, Bonaduce explained after visiting “100 doctors” and going through a period of time without a diagnosis, he’s been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a neurological disorder that is also referred as “water on the brain.” Bonaduce described for TMZ that during the upcoming operation, the surgeons will place a “shunt in my head” and a “drainboard” to remove the liquid from his brain.

In the aftermath of the departure of weekend opinion host Dan Bongino, Fox News intends to add a new panel show to its Saturday-night grid, while ending Steve Hilton’s Sunday-night program, “The Next Revolution.” Hilton will take a contributor role. Bongino and Fox News parted ways in April after failing to come to terms on a new contract. “We are excited to launch a new dynamic weekend line-up that will further solidify our position as the number one cable news network for more than two decades,” said Megan Albano, the Fox News senior vice president who oversees weekend programming and the weekday panel show “The Five,” in a statement. “We thank Steve Hilton for his show’s contributions and look forward to continuing to feature his valuable insights across our daytime and primetime programming.”
