Greg Rutherford has shared a clip of the ice skating move which lead to his devastating injury.
The retired Olympian was forced to quit the Dancing On Ice final after a serious leg injury which required hospital treatment.
The 37-year-old was injured during rehearsal for the live show in a move which required him to slide through the legs of Colin and Brendyn on the ITV show. He had now shared his fans unseen footage of the performance which could have got him to victory if he didn't have to pull out of the competition. Greg posted the video with the caption: "Here we gooooo.
This is the showcase we didn’t get the perform due to injury.
"The point where I dive through Colin and Brendyn’s legs is where everything went wrong last Sunday. "I utterly loved this showcase. Everyone involved had worked so hard.
Just look at the set too! "The guys behind the scenes never get enough credit, what they build in such a short amount of time is mind blowing. "To have @torvilanddeanofficial choreograph a full routine for us too was so special. I loved working with them.
"Although I won’t be able to skate for maybe a couple of months. I intend on getting back on the ice and keeping it up. I really do love it." Greg was due to take part in the Dancing on Ice final with skate partner Vanessa James, to compete against fellow contestants Ryan Thomas, Adele Roberts, and Miles Nazaire to become the 2024 champions.
But the injury caused him to pull out just hours before the show. Giving fans an update days after the incident, he said: "Good morning everyone. Just thought I'd give you a little update.
"I'm moving around a little bit better today which is nice. Loads of people are asking exactly what happened. I will be able to give a full rundown
