Greater Manchester weather forecast ahead of 'Storm Agnes' 80mph wind warning

A storm is forecast to hit Greater Manchester later this week - with a weather warning for wind issued by the Met Office.
Weather conditions look set to become more unsettled as the week goes on following a relatively dry day today (Monday). Sunny conditions are forecast for our region this morning before a cloudy afternoon.
Temperatures will reach highs of around 19C today. After a mostly cloudy morning tomorrow, showers are then forecast into the afternoon.

It will feel warm in Greater Manchester with the mercury reaching 20C. Wednesday could see a storm set in, with forecasters predicting 80mph winds hitting some parts of the UK.
Rain and thundery conditions are forecast, with 40mph wind gusts expected in our region. If the storm develops it could be officially named as Storm Agnes, according to reports.
A yellow weather warning, which covers Greater Manchester and much of Wales, Ireland, Scotland and northern England, comes into place at 10am on Wednesday. It will last until 7am on Thursday morning.
According to the Met Office, 'a spell of strong winds is expected to move northeast through Wednesday, with a small chance that they could be significantly disruptive'. Forecasters said 'there is a small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris' while the warning is in place, while travel disruption and damage to buildings is expected.
