The tragic final words of George Gilbey have been revealed after he fell 80ft to his death in a horror incident.
Tragically the Channel 4 Gogglebox star died in the early hours of March 27 following a workplace incident in Essex.
A man has since been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in connection with George's death.
The 40-year-old had reportedly been working as an electrician in the week leading up to his death and reportedly fell 80ft through a skylight onto concrete at a building site in Essex.
His last words have been revealed by a friend who told how George was on the roof of an Essex warehouse when the fatal incident took place.
The friend said, "George had not been in a good way and maybe should not have been working at all. He was up on the roof and the others were shouting at him to get down and to be careful."
The friend added: "He was shouting back that he was alright, even though he was not very steady on his feet.
"Then, he apparently came through a skylight so fell from the outside of the roof about 80ft on to concrete inside. Poor George did not stand a chance and it is a terrible way to go."
George's tragic death occurred at the EGL Homecare site in Shoebury, Essex, earlier this week.
A man in his 40s has since been arrested for suspected manslaughter in relation to the incident. The police are continuing to investigate the tragic event along with health and safety officials.
