Gogglebox pays tribute to George Gilbey with 'loving memory' message after tragic death

Channel 4's Gogglebox shared a special message for George Gilbey, who was on the show in 2013 and 2016, after he sadly passed away earlier this week. The reality star and electrician tragically passed away at age 40 on 27 March after falling off a roof at work. Paying tribute on Friday's (29 March), Gogglebox showed a screen which read: "In loving memory of George Gilbey 1984-2024.".
Many fans took to social media to pay tribute after watching the show, with one writing: "Oh the ending RIP #gogglebox." Another added: "Nice tribute to George at the end #Gogglebox." As a third wrote: "RIP George #Gogglebox @C4Gogglebox." George was best known for appearing on the Channel 4 show alongside his mum Linda and step-dad Pete, who sadly passed away in 2021. Following the news of George's death earlier this week, a statement from the police said: "We received a report of an incident at Campfield Road in Shoebury at around 10am this morning (27 March), during which a man who was working at height had fallen and sustained an injury.
