K.J. Yossman Freida Pinto is lending her voice to a new animated film project in honor of International Women’s Day. She Creates Change is a new nonprofit-led animation and live action film project from global education organization Room to Read produced by Nexus Studios. The multi-media initiative, which spans a six-episode film series as well as books and audio stories, aims to promote gender equality through telling the stories of young women across the planet. It will initially be available in English, Hindi and Spanish with plans to translate it into dozens more languages and will be distributed across the world via Room to Read and educational partnerships. The project will also be released to general audiences in October.

The BBC is to air a documentary about cancer campaigner Dame Deborah James featuring intimate footage dating right up until the final weeks of her life.The 80-minute film, titled Bowelbabe: In Her Own Words, will draw on previously unseen mobile phone footage, her collection of TikTok videos and voice notes, Instagram posts, podcast audio and family videos. It will air on BBC Two and iPlayer as part of the broadcaster's Storyville documentary series, with a release date yet to be announced.

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has slammed a Twitter troll who took to the social media website to comment on her appearance, claiming that she needs a "makeover." Lorraine, 63, took the insult in good humour as she cracked a joke in response to the rude comment.The Twitter user in question wrote: "I really think Lorraine needs a makeover hair is awful I’m surprised no one has mentioned this time for a short cut Lorraine." Vernon Kay will replace Ken Bruce on his BBC Radio 2 mid-morning weekday show, the BBC has confirmed.The TV presenter, 48, will take over in May following the announcement last month that Scottish broadcasting veteran Ken, 72, would be stepping down from presenting his mid-morning show on the station after 31 years. Ken will present his final show on 3 March, the BBC confirmed on Friday.
