Alex Blasdale began her glittering career at Reach Plc in 2006, fresh out of education at just 19 years old.
Starting out working for the classified ads section, she spent her days persuading tradesmen to promote their business in the local paper.
It wasn't long before she shifted her interests to the entertainment sector liaising with bars, clubs and restaurants promoting Coventry's fabulous nightlife to revellers across the region.
She then spent time working in both field and telesales until recently when she was promoted to Key Account Director for the Midlands - a stellar achievement.
"I love my job because every day is different," exclaimed Alex.
"One day you could be dealing with a local hotel looking to promote its wedding packages and then the next you're sealing deals with multi-million-pound cruise companies who are wanting to promote national content across multiple regional sites."
Alex - who is an award-winning Key Account Director for February and March as well as a runner-up for Key Account Director 2022 - is a loyal employee to Reach who has stayed with the company through thick and thin. One major challenge that turned the commercial world upside down was the global pandemic in 2020, but Alex didn't let that phase her.
"The pandemic was really challenging, but it gave us an opportunity to turn things around and mix them up," she said.

"It gave us more opportunities to explore unique marketing routes and promote new products and get more creative and it was so rewarding to see the results."
