Former Manchester United manager and club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being considered for the vacant role at Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge, according to reports.
Brugge have been without a manager since March 8 when they sacked ex-Fulham and AFC Bournemouth boss Scott Parker. Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Solskjaer is among the club's shortlisted candidates for the role.
However, it is understood that Standard Liege's Ronny Deila is the side's number one target for the vacant role while ex-RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich assistant manager Dino Toppmoller is also under consideration. For Solskjaer, should he be appointed by Club Brugge, it would be his first foray into senior team management since his departure from Old Trafford.

Solskjaer was sacked by United in November 2021 following a humiliating 4-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road. Shortly after the defeat, the Reds released the following statement: "Manchester United announces that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as manager.
"Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision. While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success."
The Norwegian averaged 1.79 points per match and was appointed to the role permanently, after a successful caretaker manager stint, in 2019. Since his exit from the Theatre of Dreams, Solskjaer has dabbled in coaching and is currently the youth team manager at his hometown club Kristiansund BK.
