A 34-storey tower could soon come to a forgotten corner of Manchester city centre as part of a wave of new homes.
The Victoria North project will bring thousands of homes to the city, from Ancoats in the south to Collyhurst at its northernmost point. Today (February 21), developers Far East Consortium (FEC) has announced its plans for the next batch of residences.
The announcement would see 1,550 new flats and townhouses built along Dantzic Street. The homes will be housed in seven buildings, FEC says, varying from six to 34-storeys tall.

The consultation will showcase emerging detail on the delivery of 1,550 new homes across three plots of land (NT02, NT03, NT04) adjacent to FEC’s Victoria Riverside scheme on Dantzic Street.
“Red Bank represents an incredibly exciting first phase of the long-term investment into the Victoria North area - alongside the investment the Joint Venture is making in Collyhurst to the north of the programme area,” Gavin White, Manchester City Council’s executive member for housing and development, said.
