A flight attendant has revealed the worst things that passengers can do on a plane - including the ultimate worst habit to have while travelling abroad.
Whether you’re a seasoned flyer or a lover of the short-haul holiday, we all have our flight habits. However, it turns out that not all of them are a good idea.
The cabin crew member - who has worked for British Airways for seven years - spoke to holiday provider Ocean Florida about their most hated habits that passengers have had when they have been travelling.
And the worst one that the flight attendant named was one that most people would hate too - having bare feet out on the plane. The expert explained: "My most hated habit is when passengers get their bare feet out on the plane.
"Not only is it unpleasant for other travellers and attendants nearby but it’s also extremely unhygienic. While cabins are cleaned before every flight, there’s rarely enough time to disinfect and deep clean floors and bathrooms. We’d never advise moving throughout the aircraft barefoot or just wearing socks - you never know what you might be walking on - especially in the bathroom."
It's not just flight attendants that cringe at this habit as a recent survey revealed that 44 per cent of Brits said that taking your shoes off on a plane is a red flag.
While it may be tempting to kick your shoes off on long-haul flights, there are other solutions which are more courteous. Abby Dunn, Marketing Manager at Ocean Florida shares her top tip for dealing with this common problem.
