FBI: International fans are about to learn a lot more about their good pal Smitty.
In tonight’s episode dubbed “Tradition of Secrets,” Europol Agent Megan “Smitty” Garretson (Eva-Jane Willis) will be forced to run interference for a troublesome family member. We asked Willis — who is about to wrap her first season on the CBS drama from Dick Wolf — to talk about tonight’s storyline and how she snagged this role of a lifetime.
DEADLINE Before you get into tonight’s episode, can you talk about how you joined the drama at the start of season 2?
EVA-JANE WILLIS Well, for a bit of context, I got into the industry quite late. I graduated from drama school when I was 29, and had some nice roles over the years. But there were a few ups and downs. I was living the life of a struggling actor. It was tough to keep my head above water and and make ends meet. This time last year, I had come to the decision that I wasn’t going to act anymore. I’ve got to have some stability in my life. While this decision was being made, I was also planning my wedding. Me and my partner weren’t able to get married in 2020 when the lockdown happened, so we were pulling the wedding together last year. I had a real feeling on that day that this was my new life. Time to put this silly dream behind us and begin our lives as two serious individuals! At the reception, my agent Jimmy walks up to me and says, “um, I have an audition that just came through for you and I wouldn’t normally tell you this on your wedding day, except that you’re really gonna wanna know about this one because it’s a series regular role on a Dick Wolf and it’s gonna change your life.” I told Jimmy to F- off in the nicest possible way. I can’t really think about this right now

Former This Morning star Dr Ranj 'complained of bullying' when he left the ITV breakfast show, it has been revealed. The resident doctor, who's real name is Ranjit Singh, had worked on the show alongside Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby since 2016.
Gogglebox regulars took a swipe at Philip Schofield's This Morning departure, hours after he confirmed he had quit ITV altogether. During the show, the armchair critics could be seen watching Monday's This Morning show, which came just days after Phillip confirmed he would be stepping down. The episode saw stand-in hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary kick off the show by announcing Philip had left and paying tribute the presenter.
The ceremonial dress was last worn almost half a century ago in 1977 by Carrie as she played Princess Leia in the closing scenes of the film and has spent the better part of the last 45 years scrunched up in a plastic bag in a London homeowner by a member of the films crew.
Emily Longeretta Warning: This story contains spoilers from “Red Waterfall,” the Season 11 finale of NBC’s “Chicago Fire.” Is another main character leaving the One Chicago universe? During the “Chicago Med” finale on Wednesday, original star Nick Gehlfuss made his final appearance — one of the many exits that has happened over the last year in the Dick Wolf procedurals. During the Season 11 “Chicago Fire” finale, Mouch (played by Christian Stolte, who has been on the series since 2012 debut) was hit by shrapnel during a call with a live shooter. After being rushed to the hospital, the firehouse was alerted that it wasn’t a bullet and that he was alert and recovering. However, in the final moments of the episode, Herrmann (David Eigenberg) was by Mouch’s side when he realized that he was looking pale. He looked down and saw that Mouch had been bleeding — and then flat-lined. As the camera panned out, it became clear why the title of the episode was “Red Waterfall,” as blood ran off the side of Mouch’s hospital bed and Herrmann screamed for a doctor.
Chicago Med is down one more doctor following the season 8 finale of the popular NBC series.
SPOILER ALERT: The following reveals major spoilers from NBC’s Chicago Med’s Season 8 finale.
Emily Longeretta Warning: This story contains spoilers from “Does One Door Close and Another One Open?,” the Season 8 finale of “Chicago Med.” Nick Gehlfuss is hanging up his lab coat. The actor, who has portrayed Dr. Will Halstead on all eight seasons of “Chicago Med,” has exited the series, making his final appearance on Wednesday night’s Season 8 finale. As Will left the hospital following the many changes at Gaffney, he reunited with his ex-fiancée, Natalie (Torrey DeVitto, who made a surprise appearance in the episode after leaving at the end of Season 6). “It was a difficult decision, but ultimately, I felt I’d taken Dr. Halstead as far as I can go with him. I think that comes down to a creative part of you, or the energy or spirit you have that you’re either built for a very long time with one person or not,” Gehlfuss tells Variety. “I am attracted to the profession for the variety in it, and eight years is a long time. It’s two college degrees! I’m joking now that I basically have a doctorate in television.”
A surprising farewell! Nick Gehlfuss exited Chicago Med after eight seasons — but his goodbye episode had a silver lining for fans.
It’s hard to know what to say about Sam Levinson’s already controversial HBO series except that it says quite a lot about the increasingly attention-grabbing antics of the Cannes Film Festival that space was made at the prestigious Grand Théâtre Lumière for the first two episodes of a cable TV show. In a case of life imitating art, the crazy scenes surrounding the premiere would not have been out of place on the screen in a story that, at least as far as anyone could tell, is a satire on the sensation-saturated world of contemporary pop culture, where good is bad and bad is the bare minimum.
After last appearing on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2021, pro dancer Aljaž Škorjanec has finally opened up about why he made the decision to leave. Shortly after taking part in series 19 - his last ever season - the 33 year old confirmed he wouldn’t be returning the following year - which would have been his 10th time dancing on the show. However, it seems that his reasons for calling it a day were completely unrelated to the programme.

Brian Steinberg Senior TV Editor Andrew Ross Sorkin is the co-creator of the Showtime series “Billions,” but he isn’t really known for drama in his professional life, just financial reporting. So it came as something of a surprise on Monday, when the CNBC and New York Times journalist got up on stage at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall to tout some of the dramatic fare that NBCUniversal was able to cobble together for the advertisers and media buyers assembled in the audience. It was all part of the industry’s annual “upfront,” when U.S. media companies try to sell the bulk of their advertising inventory before the release of their next cycle of programming.
Holly Willoughby appears to have found a new partner as she gushed over a 'special moment' on social media after 'leaving' Phillip Scofield on This Morning. The presenting duo were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Wednesday (May 17) amid claims of a 'rift' behind the scenes.

Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large Freshman drama “Quantum Leap” is taking a quantum leap to Tuesdays, as NBC unveiled a mostly strike-proof fall schedule that features three new series (two dramas and a comedy) and a crowded midseason bench. The Peacock net’s lineup is heavy as always on football and Dick Wolf: And even more so on the pigskin, as NBC’s new deal to cover Big Ten football kicks in with a new Saturday showcase. However, groom Matt had only been released from rehab three days before, and while he was delighted to be marrying the love of his life, he was feeling overwhelmed by the bash where everyone else was celebrating with flutes of champagne.
