Meryl Streep was the guest of honor at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival‘s opening ceremony on Tuesday (May 14) in Cannes, France.
The legendary actress was presented with the Palme d’Or award and she gave a tearful speech to accept the honor.
Lea Seydoux joined jury members Greta Gerwig, Lily Gladstone, Eva Green, Omar Sy, and more on the red carpet at the opening event, which served as the premiere of the film The Second Act.
