A popular London fashion brand that previously worked with Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan, 33, has been saved after previously going into administration. Chi Chi London, a company known for its sparkly garments and fancy party dresses, had teamed up with the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! favourite on one of its campaigns.
But while fans panicked as the clothing company was announced to be struggling financially, it has now been revealed that previous competitor Reem has bought it. Brothers Gio and Daniel Najar, who fans will know from their appearance on Channel 4 programme The Job Interview, previously owned the brand. Reem plan to trade on the same platform, according to reports, but have already warned customers it will be difficult to get any refunds for outstanding purchases.
A number of worried buyers have taken to Trustpilot to share their stories and hope to gain some insight into how things will proceed following the changes. “Returned within days of receiving and still haven’t had my money back 5 weeks after returning it," one person claimed on the platform. “I received an email 3 weeks after returning to say it could take a further 28 days to process and 2-4 days for the refund to appear in my bank account.
"Personally, I think this is appalling service and won’t buy from them again.
The company are quick enough to take your money but not give it back!” Another shopper claimed they sent two dresses back in July after receiving "totally different designs" to what they looked at on the website. "I sent them back and had email apologising and would send refund," the frustrated customer wrote. "This did not happen and more correspondence promising refund I received yet again promises and surprise
